CCLL European Tour starts now!

23 hours and 3 countries later, we have arrived! We kicked off our trip staying up for over 30 hours flying overseas, driving through three countries. After a good night sleep we are now making our way to our first concert outside of Saxony, Germany. It wouldn’t be a tour without a castle to chase and our dear friends, Ilse and Julian, led us to our first catch, the Manderscheid Castles (a two-fer) built in the beginning of the 10th century.

Our dear friend Paul always introduces us to amazing Belgian beers and had Bud Light on his bucket list so we brought him one to try.

Our dear friends and fabulous hosts, Jeffrey and Vanessa joined the Castle Chasers to capture the Kasteel van Ooidonk in Deinze, Belgium.

A two castle day! We also visited Kasteel van Poeke in Aalter, Belgium from the 13th century.

Catching another castle on our way back into the Netherlands. This is Kasteel Helmond in Helmond, Netherlands. It was beautiful and we might have accidentally crashed a wedding while looking around.

We didn't have time to go through the whole tour of the castle but we were allowed to do a little dress up since it was Halloween.

When touring and castle chasing collide! Not only did we “catch” Stadt Wassenberg, a castle tower with a beautiful view of the town, we also performed for an amazing audience in the castle burgsaal. A fabulous evening all around with special thanks to our dear friend Alwin Nagel who arranged the concert for us. Thank you Wassenberg for an unforgettable evening of music and castles combined!
