Online Album Release Thursday, June 24th on Loudswell
It’s almost time! Spring is making way for summer and this change in the season brings warmer weather, blooming flowers, gentle rains and longer days. It seems only fitting that we celebrate this change in season with the release of our new album Split at the Seams.
On Thursday, June 24th at 7pm Pacific time Greg, Rob, Dave, Kohen, our Producer Martin and I invite you to join us for our online album release for Split at the Seams on Loudswell. We will be playing our album, sipping cocktails and chatting about the recording. This is your chance to hear our new album in its entirety before it gets released to the world.
For one more week, you can pre-order Split at the Seams on BandCamp. We did a special limited edition run of blue vinyl or you can order a copy on CD or in digital form. Order now and CDs and vinyls will arrive shortly after the release on June 25th (digital will be available day of the release) or if you prefer, email me direct for other purchasing options.
We’ve received some wonderful previews for our songs Dance Dance Dance and Trapeze from Glide Magazine and Vents Magazine. I included snippets below with links to the full articles and the songs.
Thank you all so much for being here with us on this musical journey. We started recording this album almost two years ago and we are so happy to get to share these new songs with all of you. Wishing you a beautiful beginning to summer and hope to see you on Thursday June 24th to celebrate the release of Split at the Seams.
Smooches,
Carrie
Glide is thrilled to premiere “Dance Dance Dance” an explosive folk song topped with a colorful gypsy style instrumental breakdown. Clark sings with fantastical imagery that rekindles a sense of savior and style reminiscent of Balkan Beat Box jamming with Gillian Welch.
Vents Magazine … pleased to join forces with Carrie Clark & The Ionesome Lovers for the premiere of her new single “Trapeze,” a song about the internal and external judgments of Motherhood and includes the lyric that became this album’s title, Split at the Seams.
