Muse Fest & Great Women of Folk and Country music series
Spring has sprung in the NW and while that could mean sunshine and warmth on your face one minute to pelting rains and wind the next, the rainbows are never far behind and the days continue to get longer and brighter. The Lonesome Lovers and I have quite a few shows to look forward to this spring and summer so I hope you are ready to shed those winter layers and join us for some live music.
This month I'm excited to be sharing the stage with a bunch of my most favorite local women artists. On Thursday May 9th, I'll be performing a solo show at Muse Fest which is part of this month's West Seattle Art Walk. Curated by my friend, Sue Quigley, Muse Fest celebrates the power of women voices and features women musicians performing in venues all around West Seattle. You'll find me at Soprano's Restaurant from 6pm to 7:45pm. Click here to see the map of all the performers and art you can check out that evening.
Then on Thursday, May 30th the Great Women of Folk and Country music series will kick off at the Royal Room. This four concert series highlights the works of some of the most prolific and talented musicians the genre has to offer. Each show will bring together Seattle's finest singers to reimagine the works of the featured artists. This first show will highlight the music of Nanci Griffith, the Highwomen and Alison Krauss. Sue Quigley is the curator and MC of this event and you'll find me onstage with fellow Lonesome Lovers, Greg Fulton and Dave Pascal, along with Aimee Zoe, Jen Ayers, Kristin Chambers, Annie O'Neill, Emily Persha, Stefanie Robbins and Carly Toyer. Tickets are available now.
Lots more music coming up as we transition from spring to summer. In the meantime enjoy shedding those layers and thank you all so much for being on this musical journey with us. We couldn't do what we do without each and everyone of you.
Smooches!
Carrie
